Creating a new team project has not changed that much. From within Team Explorer, select Home | Projects and My Teams | New Team Project…
Enter the team project name and description.
Select the process template to use. You have three choices out of the box: Scrum, MSF Agile, and MSF CMMI.
Choose whether or not to create SharePoint site for the team project.
Ooooh, but this is new! You now have the option of choosing whether to use TFS Version Control, or Git!
Everyone always confirms their settings, right?
And BAM! I’m hit with error TF218013, the team project could not be created because you are not running Visual Studio with administrative permissions. The only solution is to close Visual Studio, open it again as an administrator, and go through the wizard, again.
After running through the wizard again, the project is created successfully.
And I can connect to the project in Team Explorer. Notice how I’m prompted to configure my workspace mappings. I like how Team Explorer tries to guide me in the right direction to make sure I have everything setup correctly.
