I’m very privileged to have the opportunity to speak at TechEd again this year. This year is especially fun because it is in New Orleans, just a hop, skip, and a jump from my hometown of Tupelo, MS. So all the comforts of home: great good, good people, and hot humid weather!
I’m speaking on Tips & Tricks for Creating Custom Management Packs for System Center Operations Manager. I spoke on this topic last year, and it was well received. This year’s talk will have some of the same message, but will include some new tips and tricks as well, and will focus on using the Visual Studio Authoring Extensions for building your management packs. But don’t worry, I’ll cover all the different tools that I use because as you know, one tool can’t do everything.
Yesterday I ironed out the last few demos I plan to show in the talk. Right now, the session should be very demo-heavy, with at least 6 demo’s planned. The slide deck should be available to Tech Ed attendees, so go check it out and see if you would be interested in the session. I hope to see you there!
Yesterday was the first day of Tech Ed, so it was full of speaker preparation, saying hello to old friends and new, and talking with customers at the opening night reception. Overall, a very fun and tiring day.
Martin Woodward and I are doing a book signing for the book on Wednesday from 12 – 12:30 at the bookstore. Please come by and say hi!
